Warren Cary Beach II, 75, of Scottsville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, in Charlottesville, Virginia.
He was born in Riverdale, Maryland on September 17, 1946, to the late Warren Cary and Margaret Elizabeth (Becker) Beach.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jim Beach.
Cary served in the U.S. Navy for about 5 years, receiving several medals for his incredible service. He launched a computer business that he ran for 10 years and then went on to work as a government properties administrator for Northrup Grumman. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to help whenever and wherever he was needed. You could always catch him singing one of his favorite hymns or sometimes even dancing! Cary was a people person, he loved to make people laugh and would stick with you through thick and thin! His outgoing and humorous personality, his warm hugs and willingness to help will truly be missed.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Carolyn Louise Beach; a son, Dwayne Beach of Maryland; two grandchildren, Zachary and Heather Beach; a bonus granddaughter, Kiersten Truehart; three sisters, Peggy Johnson of Palmyra, Sue Mickelson of Scottsville and Pam Stevens, also of Scottsville; several nieces and nephews; along with a host of extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, May 6, 2022, at 10:00 AM, at Fluvanna Baptist Church, followed by burial in the Fluvanna Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Alan Acree will officiate the service.
