Rapidan District Cabinet Honors Louisa County Ruritan Veterans

The military veterans of the Louisa County Ruritan Club were honored September 15, 2015 at their September meeting in Louisa, VA, by presenting them with certificates of appreciation from the Rapidan District Cabinet during a visit by the Rapidan District Governor, Linda Bradshaw. The presentation of the certificates is part of the Rapidan District’s plans to thank, appreciate, and honor all of their local club’s veterans.

The veterans honored were Larry Edmonds, John B. Gilmer, and George Marshall.

The military veterans of the Culpeper Ruritan Club were honored September 12, 2015 at the Culpeper Ruritan’s annual picnic in Culpeper, VA, by presenting them with certificates of appreciation from the Rapidan District Cabinet during a visit by the Rapidan District Governor, Linda Bradshaw. The presentation of the certificates is part of the Rapidan District’s plans to thank, appreciate, and honor all of their local club’s veterans.

The veterans honored were Curtis Brooking, John D. Croft, Craig Dennis, Posey Howell, Donald H. Shuman, Jr., and William D. Sisk.


Monticello Ruritan Club Honors Military Veteran and Welcomes Two New Members

Samuel Thacker, a military veteran of the Monticello Ruritan Club was honored August 11, 2015 at the Monticello Ruritan’s July meeting in Scottsville, VA, with a certificate of appreciation from the Rapidan District Cabinet during a visit by the Rapidan District Governor, Linda Bradshaw. The presentation of the certificate is part of the Rapidan District’s plans to thank, appreciate, and honor all of their local club’s veterans. The Monticello Ruritan Club further honored Thacker by presenting him with a “veteran” tab that fastens to the back of his Ruritan Membership lapel pin. The tab was presented by the Monticello Ruritan Club’s president, Wayne Shifflett.

During the same meeting, the Monticellow Ruritan Club welcomed two new members, Tim and Rhonda Scovill. The membership induction was also performed by Linda Bradshaw. Said Bradshaw “It is always an honor to be invited to welcome new Ruritan members to the clubs!”

The Rapidan District Ruritan Cabinet honored Fulton Payne, a military veteran of the Three Chopt Ruritan Club March 9, 2015 at the Three Chopt Ruritan’s Clubhouse in Troy VA, by presenting him with a Certificate of Appreciation during a visit by the Rapidan District Governor, Linda Bradshaw.

The presentation is part of the Rapidan District’s plans to thank, appreciate, and honor all of their local club’s veterans.
