Richard G. Bingler, 67, of Jeffersonton, VA, passed away on Sunday, Februay 9, 2019.
Richard was born August 21, 1951, in New York, New York. He was a life-long member of the Lutheran Church. His faith meant a lot to him, and he tried his best to love and live his faith.
He was an active member of the U.S. Army for three years, and after his active duty service, continued in the Army Reserve for over ten years.
Richard married Susan Lorthoir, in June 1974, having met her at Concordia College, a Lutheran college in Bronxville, NY. Theirs was a loving marriage, lasting 45 years, until his death.
He obtained his Masters degree in Computer Science from Marist College, Poughkeepsie, NY, in 1991. He and his wife Susan moved to Fairfax, VA, in 1994, and to Jeffersonton VA, in 2001.
He was a member of the Jefferson VA Ruritan Club. He joined the Ruritan Club in October of 2001. He served as the Jefferson VA Ruritan Club’s Treasurer in 2003, and as their President in 2012. He was well liked by everyone that knew him.
He died at INOVA Fairfax Hospital on Februay 9, 2019, after being severely injured in a fall.
