  1. I would like to invite members of the local Ruritan Club to attend our upcoming Community Forum on September 20th from noon to 2:00 at the Greene County Library in Stanardsville. We will be discussing the needs in Greene County, particularly as they relate to housing stability and affordability, but all of the areas that related to that as well, including income and employment. It is a brown bag lunch, but dessert will be provided. If you can come, please let me know. I can be reached at (540) 948-2237 x130 or
    Thank you.

    • This comment was received on our website on September 23, 2014, three days after the date of the meeting that is referenced in the message. I’d like to encourage folks to try to post comments that include invitations to events a couple of weeks prior to the event, so that the message can be forwarded to the appropriate clubs!

  2. Who is allowed to use the pavilion picnic Pavilion at the Greene County Park sitting behind the dog shelter and is there a phone number to make a reservation

  3. I’m a foster parent recruiter and trainer and would like to give a short presentation on foster care. We are in need of foster parents and since the opiod crisis the need is even greater. Last year we had three drug addicted babies in our care and took in 5 children because of the substance abuse in their homes. I work with a private foster care agency – Braley and Thompson and am located at Pantops. Thank you for your consideration.

    • Thank you for reaching out to us through our District Website. Your offer to make a presentation to our local clubs has been forwarded to the District’s Leaders of those areas, with a request to forward that offer to the appropriate clubs. You may, if you wish, contact the clubs directly through contact information on the website that is specific to the club(s), and I would encourage you to do so.

  4. I am a local social worker writing a request on behalf of a client of mine who is homebound due to permanent health issues. He is in need of a haircut in his home which is very simple and done with a trimmer/buzzer. If anyone is willing to help him please contact me.
