From the Desk of the District Governor, Linda Bradshaw:

Earlier this week I received a newsletter in the U.S. Mail from the Hunters For The Hungry. For those of you who may not know, the Hunters For The Hungry is a charity that is widely supported by Ruritan Clubs across Virginia. Looking through the newsletter, I was proud to read that Ruritan Clubs Across Virginia are in their list of 2014 Financial Donors in the category of “$50,000 and up.” There was no higher category on their list, and there was only one other listing. That other listing was the Wal-Mart Foundation.

Reading further into the newsletter (on their page 7,) there is a chart that listed the individual Districts and clubs that donated, and I was proud to read that ten clubs in the Rapidan District had donated a total of $1,900 in 2014. That donation of $1,900 resulted in 16,720 servings of venison! Good work, and kudos to all!
