Partlow Ruritan Club Military Veterans Honored

The military veterans of the Partlow Ruritan Club were honored August 13, 2015 at the Partlow Ruritan’s July meeting in Partlow, VA, with certificates of appreciation from the Rapidan District Cabinet during a visit by the Rapidan District Governor, Linda Bradshaw. The presentation of the certificates is part of the Rapidan District’s plans to thank, appreciate, and honor all of their local club’s veterans. The Partlow Ruritan Club further honored the veterans by presenting the veterans with a “veteran” tab that fastens to the back of their Ruritan Membership lapel pin. The tab was presented by the Partlow Ruritan Club’s president, Dale Hord.

The veterans honored were Sherwood Brooks, Sidney King, and Robert Dickinson.


Fluvanna County Ruritan Veterans Honored

The military veterans of the Fluvanna County Ruritan Club were honored July 21, 2015 at the Fluvanna County Ruritan’s July meeting in Palmyra, VA, by presenting them with certificates of appreciation from the Rapidan District Cabinet during a visit by the Rapidan District Governor, Linda Bradshaw. The presentation of the certificates is part of the Rapidan District’s plans to thank, appreciate, and honor all of their local club’s veterans. The Fluvanna County Ruritan Club honored the veterans further by presenting the veterans with a “veteran” tab that fastens to the back of their Ruritan membership lapel pin. The tab was presented by the Fluvanna County Ruritan Club’s president, Joseph Childress.

The veterans honored were Roman Bakke, Cary Beach, Joseph Childress, George Cobb, Richard Eaton, Emerson Farley Jr., George Goin, William Hitchcock, Burgess Jordan, and Bobby Shumake.

Two veterans were honored posthumous. They were William Grigg, and Robert L. Pulliam. Surviving relatives were on hand to receive those awards. William Grigg’s wife, Tammy, received the awards on his behalf. Robert Pulliam’s daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Roger Bowles received the awards on his behalf.

The Rapidan District Ruritan Cabinet honored the military veterans of the Wolftown Ruritan Club July 14, 2015 at the Wolftown Ruritan’s monthly meeting in Madison, VA, by presenting them with Certificates of Appreciation during a visit by the Rapidan District Governor, Linda Bradshaw. The presentation of the certificates is part of the Rapidan District’s plans to thank, appreciate, and honor all of their local club’s veterans.

The Rapidan District Ruritan Cabinet honored the military veterans of the East Orange Ruritan Club July 13, 2015 at the East Orange Ruritan’s Clubhouse in Unionville, VA, by presenting them with Certificates of Appreciation during a visit by the Rapidan District Governor, Linda Bradshaw. Not present at the meeting to accept their certificates of appreciation were Paul Foltz, Jr. and Robert Wright. Robert Wright’s daughter Bethany was present at the meeting and accepted the certificate of appreciation on behalf of her father. The presentation of the certificates is part of the Rapidan District’s plans to thank, appreciate, and honor all of their local club’s veterans.
