Ham and Oyster Dinner – Belmont Ruritan Club

The members of both the Belmont Ruritan Club and the Belmont Woman’s Club will hold its annual ham and oyster fundraising event on Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 4 until 7 p.m. This dinner will be held later in the year than in past years (has usually been held in March.) The dinner will be served at the Belmont Community Center located at 7124 Belmont Rd. in western Spotsylvania County. The cost is $15 for adults and $8 for children ages 6 to 12 years old. Ample parking and handicapped parking are on site.

Family-style seating is offered within the historic former school facility; take-out dinners are also offered directly from the kitchen window. The dinner continues to feature choice of two types of ham, deep-fried oysters, or portions of both along with coleslaw, green beans, baked beans, potato salad, corn pudding, rolls, drinks and homemade pies as prepared by the Belmont Woman’s Club.

This event supports the community service programs for both clubs inclusive of funds for the local fire and rescue organizations, scholarships, Christmas baskets, emergency relief activities, and maintenance of the historical Belmont Community Center facility.
